ICC holds meeting with representatives of Iteso Cultural Leaders

Today, during a second round of meetings with Iteso traditional leaders in northern Uganda, representatives of the Registry discussed operational mechanisms for the coordination of outreach activities.  

The Ugandan Iteso Cultural Union has agreed to disseminate information and raise awareness among the Teso population on the mandate and activities of the International Criminal Court.  

The meeting took place in Soroti and was attended by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Gender and Social Development, the Minister of Information and a representative of the Iteso women.
