Canada ratifies the Agreement on Privileges and Immunities of the International Criminal Court (APIC)

On Tuesday, 22 June 2004, the ICC was informed that Canada had ratified the Agreement on Privileges and Immunities of the International Criminal Court (APIC).

This brings the number of States Parties who have ratified the Agreement to 10. Fifty-four States have signed the Agreement.

According to Article 35 of the Agreement, it “shall enter into force thirty days after the date of deposit with the Secretary-General of the tenth instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession”.
