Entry into force of amendments to the Regulations of the Court

On 29 June 2012, amendments to the Regulations of the Court adopted by the judges on 2 November 2011, during their eighteenth plenary session, entered into force.

The amendments focus on Chapter IV of the Regulations of the Court (“Counsel issues and legal assistance”).

Pursuant to Article 52 of the Rome Statute, the amendments to the Regulations of the Court will be circulated to States Parties for comments. If, within six months from circulation, there are no objections from a majority of States Parties, the amendments shall remain in force.
