Dr. Maartje Krabbe - “Complete Defences in International Criminal Law”

Dr. Maartje Krabbe is a researcher and lecturer at the department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

Dr. Krabbe studied at Maastricht University Law School, where she subsequently worked as a researcher and lecturer (from 2004 to 2012) teaching tort law, substantive criminal law, criminal procedure, comparative criminal law and international criminal law. At Maastricht University Dr. Krabbe carried out several research projects in the field of international criminal law, one of which resulted in the Ph.D. thesis entitled 'Excusable Evil: An Analysis of Complete Defenses in International Criminal Law' (Intersentia, 2014). Her main research and teaching interests lie in the area of complete defences and criminal liability.
