Giueppe Cataldi (Italy) is a professor of international law at the University of Naples “L’Orientale” at the faculty of political sciences and Director of the Institute of International Juridical Studies (Naples Branch). He is also an adviser to the Italian Ministry of Navy, Ministry of European Policies and to the NATO Italian Civilian Staff Association.
He is a member of the Editorial Committee of the “Italian Yearbook of International Law” (since 1999) and is Vice-President of the International Association for the Law of the Sea (since 2001) as well as a member of its board of directors. Professor Cataldi has also taught at the Université Paris I (France), Università del Sannio (Italy), University of Cordoba (Spain), University of Alexandria (Egypt), and held a number of key positions at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”.
He publishes extensively in the areas of international law, law of the sea and European Law. Professor Cataldi holds a magna cum laude degree from the University of Napels.
Gabriele Della Morte (Italy) is a lecturer in International Law at the Law Faculty of the Catholic University of Milan and in International Criminal Law at the Centre Universitaire de droit International Humanitaire at the University of Geneva. He has also taught in universities in France (Paris I) and Italy (Oriental University of Naples).
He has participated in different research projects and international seminars in various fields of international law. He has published a number of articles on different subjects related to international criminal law, international humanitarian law and the practice of international criminal tribunals.
In 2004, Dr. Della Morte was distinguished by the Italian Society of International Law for his work on the jurisdiction of the ICC. He has also worked as a law clerk at the ICTY, a legal assistant for the Defence at the ICTR, and he was a delegate for the Government of the Republic of the Congo at the Rome Conference of 1998.
