Prof. Carlos E. Sluzki: "Traumatisation of those working with victims of massive atrocities"

Since 2002, Professor Carlos E. Sluzki has served as Professor of Global and Community Health at George Mason University (U.S.) and Professor of Psychiatry at George Washington University (U.S.); and he is currently completing a term as a Visiting Professional with the Office of the Prosecutor of the ICC. Prof. Sluzki holds an M.D. from the University of Buenos Aires. Previous professional appointments include Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts and at the University of California San Francisco and Los Angeles Medical Schools. He has served as editor-in-chief of the journals Acta Psiquiatrica y Psicologica de America Latina, Family Process, and the American Journal of Orthopsychiatry, is an Honorary Member of many professional organizations and has acted as a consultant to the Pan American Health Organization and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. Prof. Sluzki is the author of over 200 publications on family dynamics, migration, violence, social networks, and human rights.
