Guest lecture:
Desiree Verweij is a professor in philosophy and ethics at the Netherlands Defense Academy and at the Centre for International Conflict Analysis and Management (CICAM) at the Radboud University Nijmegen. She wrote extensively on philosophical issues and on both fundamental and applied (military) ethics. Her publications in the field of military ethics are about ‘friendship and comradeship’, ‘moral judgment’, ‘the dark side of obedience’, ‘new wars’, ‘responsibility’, ‘human rights’ and ‘moral professionalism’.
