Solemn Undertaking of ICC Judges on Thursday 17 January, 2008
On Thursday 17 January, 2008, three judges of the International Criminal Court, elected in December by the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute, shall each make a solemn undertaking, at the Seat of the Court in The Hague. The ceremony will start at 10.30 a.m.
The following elected ICC Judges will be sworn on Thursday 17 January 2008:
- Bruno COTTE (France);
- Fumiko SAIGA (Japan);
- Daniel David Ntanda NSEREKO (Uganda).
All journalists wishing to cover the ceremony are requested to complete the accreditation form and send it to the e-mail address: [email protected] or fax it to + 31 (0)70 515 8408. Journalists who are already accredited with the ICC do not have to complete another accreditation form, but are kindly requested to confirm by e-mail or fax their attendance at this event. Pictures of the solemn undertaking will be provided to the media by Reuters.
The application for accreditation will close on Monday 14 January at 5 p.m. The list of all accredited journalists will be published on the ICC web site on Tuesday 15 January, 2008. ICC Press cards will be handed out upon presentation of a valid passport or a valid ID with a photo. Please note that access to the Court’s premises will not be permitted without prior accreditation.
