International Criminal Court holds diplomatic briefing

The process of dialogue between the International Criminal Court (ICC) and representatives of both States and non-States Parties to enhance the understanding of the Court’s work, continued today, Wednesday 16 June, 2004 in Brussels.
The diplomatic briefing, the second of this nature organised by the Court, was chaired by H.E. Judge Philippe Kirsch, President and statements were also made by the Prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocampo and the Registrar, Bruno Cathala. The three senior officials of the ICC informed the participants on the progress of the work of the Court.
Also present was the Director of the Secretariat of the Assembly of States Parties, Medard Rwelamira, who updated them on the setting up of the Secretariat and the preparatory work of the next session of the Assembly that will take place in The Hague (The Netherlands), in September.
