Crown Princess Mary of Denmark visits new ICC premises

On 5 November 2015, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark visited the new premises of the International Criminal Court (ICC), designed by Danish architects schmidt hammer lassen, as part of the Princess' two-day visit to The Netherlands. 

At the end of this year, the ICC will move to its new permanent premises located on the van Alkemadelaan/Oude Waalsdorperweg in The Hague, Netherlands. In 2010 the Danish firm schmidt hammer lassen was selected to design the new premises. In October 2012, the combination Visser & Smit Bouw and Boele & van Eesteren ("Courtys") was selected for the realization of the new Premises. Construction works started on 16 April 2013 and will be completed shortly, when the premises will be ready for use.
